Ratnagiri, Maharashtra: In a remarkable feat, 21-month-old Veda Paresh Sarfare has become India's youngest swimmer to be recognized by the India Book of Records. This tiny tot from Ratnagiri dove into a pool and swam an impressive 100 metres in 10 minutes and 8 seconds, defying the odds of her tender age.
Veda, who began learning to swim at just 9 months old, was inspired by her elder brother and trained by coaches Mahesh and Gauri Milke for 11 months. Her achievement is a testament to her dedication and the unwavering support of her family.
Officially entered into the India Book of Records on November 25, 2025, Veda's record-breaking swim has put her hometown of Ratnagiri on the map. Her story is an inspiration to young aspirants and parents alike, showcasing the power of early learning and perseverance.
